ABOUT THE MEETING
The 2010 annual meeting of the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society offers an intensely practical teaching experience specifically designed for physicians and technologists who are actively engaged in the practice of MR. Panel discussions of imaging technique and protocols will be combined with focused lectures that include both essential and advanced MR topics. Radiologists will benefit from unique discussions of MR reporting, while technologists will enjoy concurrent breakout sessions specifically designed for their needs.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
· Optimize protocols and imaging techniques for MR of the musculoskeletal system, neural axis, breast, and body.
· Apply the core fundamentals necessary for interpretation and performance of musculoskeletal MR.
· Describe the current approach to diagnosis and management of common pathologies of the neural axis.
· Recognize essential information necessary for the performance and interpretation of body and cardiovascular MR.
· Discuss the clinical utility and necessary guidelines for the use of Breast MR.
· Optimize clinical MR reports such that essential information is appropriately conveyed to the referring physician.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate diagnostic imaging physicians who supervise and interpret MRI studies and technologists who perform MRI. However, this meeting is also of great benefit for referring physicians who order these studies, so that they may gain a greater appreciation for the uses, strengths and limitations of clinical MRI.
CLINICAL CONTENT SAMS
The ABR requires a minimum of 20 self-assessment modules (SAMs) over a 10 year cycle to meet maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements. The CMRS will submit Five sessions of the meeting program to the ABR for clinical content SAM qualification. The CMRS will request clinical content SAM qualification in the areas of:
Orthopedic MRI
Neuro MRI
Breast
Cardiac MRI
Gastrointestinal
The number of SAM credits and approved sessions will be available approximately 21 days prior to the meeting
MOC (maintenance of certification) is for diplomates who are already ABR-certified, and who are working in the 10-year cycle of maintaining that certification. Diplomates who hold time-limited (10-year) certificates are automatically enrolled in the MOC program and should start participating immediately. Diplomates who hold lifetime certificates must enroll in the program to begin the MOC process.
ACCREDITATION
Physicians: Educational Symposia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
Educational Symposia designates this entire educational activity for a maximum of 27.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

• Those only attending Head & Spine MRI will receive 8.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
• Those only attending Body, Breast & Cardiovascular MRI will receive 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in one of the above activities.
Certain sessions of the meeting program will be submitted to the ABR for SAM qualification. The number of SAM credits will be available approximately 21 days prior to the meeting.
